Really enjoyed the friendly vibe and welcoming atmosphere at this place. The staff were kind and made us feel at home. The common area was great for socializing with other travelers. The location was convenient, with bus stops nearby and everything we needed within a short walk. The comfortable mattress on the bunk bed and the circulation fan were a plus for a good night's sleep.
The internet was a bit slow, but that seems to be common in Costa Rica. The smell of smoke in the room and on the bed sheets was quite unpleasant, and the sheets didn't feel very clean.

The staff and volunteers were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home during our romantic escape. They treated us like family and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. The common areas and bathrooms were cleaned daily, which was a nice touch. It made us feel more comfortable and added to the overall cleanliness of the place. The location was perfect for us. It was close to the center of town, making it easy to explore and experience everything Samara had to offer. Plus, it was quiet at night, so we were able to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
That the pillows on the bed were a bit thin and small. Bringing our own pillows would have been a good idea, as it would have added more comfort during our stay.

I had an amazing time at Matilori! The location was perfect, close to the beach, town center, bars, and supermarkets. The vibes were super nice and the price was great. Hanging out in the backyard, playing games with Oscar and enjoying a beer was a highlight. The staff, especially Fran, were helpful with my travel plans and the conversations with Ariel about music and movies were engaging. It truly felt like a home away from home. Pura Vida!
Strongly recommend this hotel.
